    Slipstreaming & Recovery Console (SP2)

I want to install the Recovery Console but was unable to because my installation CD did not have SP2. I searched the Knowlege Base and found how to update the installation folder, KB900871, but I'm not clear how to create a CD with SP2 on it. I created the two folders specified in the KB article, and copied the relevant files to them and ran the SP2 update program. Do I just create a new CD with all the files from the original installation CD, substituting the new i386 folder for the original one? The original CD is bootable. How do I make the new CD bootable? The original CD is a DELL OEM CD and it has Dell stuff on it, too.

Here's a link on slipstreaming Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows: Slipstreaming Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2). Did you check the Dell Community Forum - Dell Community Forum? You may be able to find information specific to your PC there.
