Problem With Quicktime

I just tried to play an old .mov file in my archives and the image was chopped up, digitized or something and unviewable (see screenshot). I running Quicktime 7.1.3 that came with an iTunes update and I know the files played fine in earlier versions of Quicktime.

    Any ideas ??

Thanks for the idea Joe. Didn't work, I'm afraid. Removed Quicktime through Add/Remove Programs and downloaded a fresh copy of Quicktime form Apple's website and installed it. Same problem.

I'll look into a third party player to handle these, I think. Some of the files work and some don't. So I don't know what the problem is.

    Re: Problem With Quicktime

Downloaded QuicktimeAlternative and installed it (had to remove Quicktime first). It's plug-ins and codecs for WMP Classic that allow it to play .mov and other Quicktime files. Works for me.

Glad you got it worked out. The only issue I've had with the QuickTime alternative and Real alternative players is some inconsistency with playback and control of streaming feeds. They both seems to work pretty well with files already on the PC.
