olevia hdmi

    big ol' flat screen monitor/tv....

    i have 2 sets of cables.

    1) 3 rca type {red.green,blue} to {red.green,blue}

    and

    1) 1/8" to dual rca {red and white}

    how in the hay do i get the internal monitor speakers to work? i have tried every combination....... however there are 10 rca type jacks {white,red,blue} on the monitor and also 2 (headphones and speakers)1/8" green/blue type jack that is similar to the one on my sound card....

    do i need special drivers, to get my sound card to run these speakers?

    thanks for all the help

    Ty

    Ty,

    You need to give people the information they need to help you.

    What is the make and model of your monitor?
    What sound card do you have (or what motherboard if it is built in)?
    What graphics card do you have?

    Ty,

    The Olevia HD TV probably has vga input. Use that to connect the monitor output from the PC graphics card. The 1/8" to dual rca {red and white} is then connected from the graphics card speaker output to the audio in plugs next to the vga socket on the TV. Config the TV for vga input and you should be up and running. This is fine if the monitor/tv is used only as a monitor or as a TV w/o the pc running as the pc

    Re: olevia monitor

    sorry for the delay, guys and gals i just got back to fooling with this olevia 3 series, with internal Intel proc. i have the RCA r/l to (1) i have them plugged in correctly, and i barely hear the sound. is my problem, i do not have an RCA to 1/8" adapter? or is there a driver i can dl, without having to buy one? ( i just read my earlier post, i said i had an RCA to 1/8" adapter but i dont.

    the staples dude told me all i needed was the RCA r/l.

    i tried the vid card and it didn't work, so we took it back. the old speakers still work great

    thank you for your time.

    and sorry for the delay in responses

    i have been to the olevia website and there are no special audio drivers i can find
