    Multicolumn Bookmark menu (Firefox 2.0)

    Is there any way to get a very long list of bookmarks which extends below (and sometimes above!) the confines of the screen to go into two columns, rather than have the up and down arrows at the screen extremities? I can't find anything in the usual places...

    Thanks

    John

    PS OK, I know I can split it into sub-menus...!

    HI John

    You can probably do this with an entry in your UserChrome.css. But what, I don't know. I've never got on with firefox (I'm an Opera man -- It's not over till the fat lady <img src=/S/sing.gif border=0 alt=sing width=24 height=20> )

    You could look here and experiment I suppose. the mystical DOM inspector might help...

    <img src=/S/hmmn.gif border=0 alt=hmmn width=15 height=15>

    That is a good find John but the only reference I see for the bookmarks is:

    /* Multi-row bookmarks toolbar */
    #bookmarks-ptf {display:block}
    #bookmarks-ptf toolbarseparator { display:inline }

    It will not be an easy fix for CSS to accomplish this to create columns.

    Personally I think John G should thinks about categorising his bookmarks <img src=/S/2cents.gif border=0 alt=2cents width=15 height=15>
