IE7 opens shortcuts and favorites in Frames (IE7 n
In two cases after downloading the generic IE7 update, existing shortcuts on the desktop and favorites seem to consistantly open in blank IE frame with no content. If I go to ' Folder option- File types- it shows Internet shrtcus and URL links opening with ieframe.dll. I can force it back to the program IE7 and then they open fine but it seems like a very tenuous workaround and brings up more issues. AND I want to know why is it happening? It appears that both updates were interrupted and then picked up again. I have tried redownloading IE7 and reinstalling it but to no avail. Is there a way to REALLY uninstall IE7 so I can come back in clean and hopefully the old shortcuts will open correctly with content, not just the frame?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried seeing if IE7 is listed in the "Add and Remove Programs" of the Control Panel?
Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
