Linked Cells and wrapping (2003 SR2)

    Dear Loungers,

Is there a way round this:

I have a large workbook of many sheets, each sheet has some data linked to a number of external wookbook. The source workbook applied wrapped text so the row height varies depending on the content. The target workbook also has wrap appliedto the column BUT it doesn't wrap when the text is longer than the cell width, it just truncates the display. Since the column in question contains a comments type of field then it is unpredicatable how deep each row should be.

    What can I do?

    liz

I suspect that Excel does wrap the text in the linked cell, but it doesn't automatically adjust the row height. Selecting the appropriate cells (or all cells by pressing Ctrl+A), then selecting Format | Row | AutoFit should adjust the row heights.
