    Template help (Word 2003)

I am trying to make a template similar to the one attached. The attached form has a button added that say's " Fill In" and when you click it a window pops up that you put all your information in. When you click finish it puts all that info into the form. Any help to put me on the right track would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Well apparently the file is to large to attach!! any suggestions?

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Have you tried zipping the template and attaching the zip file?

That must be a pretty hefty template! Can you whittle down the size by removing some elements that are not essential for your question?

I guess it's a userform (created in the Visual Basic Editor), but we'd have to see the template to be certain.

Is visual basic a hard program to use? When I go into visual basic and try to look at the template project properties, it says Project is unviewable.

    Re: Template help (Word 2003)

Visual Basic for Applications is the programming language that comes with Word (and other Office applications). If you're new to programming, you'll have a way to go before you are familiar with it, but this site and others can help with that.
The message you get might mean that you should open the template directly using File | Open, or that the code it contains has been protected by the person who wrote it.

When I paste that URL into the address bar of my browser, I am taken to a general "Free File Hosting & Free File Sharing" page, without anything to download... <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

Screenshot reduced in size by HansV - we prefer pictures to be not larger than 640 x 480 pixels.

I guess it doesn't like me.. Im attaching a photo of the document, maybe that will help

    Re: Template help (Word 2003)

Yes, that is a userform. You'll need to learn some Visual Basic if you want to manipulate them. You can find starter info on the Word MVP site:
    How to create a Userform

You'll find an example of using a userform to enter information in the zip file attached to <post:=259,183>post 259,183</post:>. The code there is unprotected.
