    Return to I E 6 (XP/IE 7)

Installed Internet Explorer 7 on a friend's machine - she wants a return to IE 6 - there are just too many problems for her.

    How do I do that?

    Thanks.

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Windows Internet Explorer 7. But what are her problems? IE7 is a better browser than IE6. It is safer and more standards compliant.

    Hi Joe,

Doesn't seem to like anything at all about it . . . I LUV mine. She wants a return and is unhappy I updated.

Anyway - will IE 6 still be onboard if I delete IE 7 from the Control Panel? It's not listed as a program.

    Thanks.

What are the problems? Even a cursory look at the Microsoft IE7 Community web site will indicate a huge array of bugs, the most significant of which - from a corporate perspective - is that it screws up printing of web pages (eg client forms, etc) & printing of OE6 emails with attachments (leaving off headers & reducing type-face, etc). This is openly acknowledged by Microsoft MVP's, who say that Microsoft are apparently working on patches - meanwhile, work-arounds are cumbersome, time consuming & hard to rationalise to clients.

I certainly agree with you - she wants a return - so I deleted the IE 7 fom the Control Panel - IE 6 has returned and she is HAPPY!

Otherwise, have a deightful upcoming year. As always, thanks!!
