Pop Form When Match Not Found (Access 2K)

A form called "MyRecords" has a required field ("SubjectID") that is linked to a table called "Subjecs". I would like to have a macro that would trigger once a number is entered into "SubjectID". If a match is found, the number is accepted and the data entry process continues. If no match is found, I would like the macro to open "Subjecs" and allow me to update it. Once the update is done, the data entry process continues. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

The best way to do this is to use a combo box for SubjectID. Set the Subjecs (?) table as Row Source of the combo box, and set its Limit to List property to Yes. You can then use the On Not In List event of the combo box to add an item to the Subjecs table. See the thread starting at <post:=146,627>post 146,627</post:> for some examples.
