    elimante page header variables on report footer

    I have a variable text box that is visible on each page header and page footer, however I would not like for this variable to be visible on the report footer.
    I think I once saw a post about this.

    Do you mean that you don't want it to be visible on the last page of the report? If so:

    One option is to use a Control Source like this:
    <code>
    =IIf([Page]=[Pages],Null,Whatever)
    </code>
    where Whatever is the field or expression you want to display.

    Another option is to put code in the On Format event of the section that contains the text box:

    Me.TextBoxName.Visible = Not (Me.Page = Me.Pages)

    Hans,

    I don't think this suggestion will work. Access calculates [Pages] by first opening the report and going to the end (to find last page). It then moves back to beginning and starts all over again. However, it doesn't do this unless you specifically use [Pages] in the controlsource of a control (which is why a report that uses [Pages] is slower to open then one without using it. However, I don't think it checks code to see if Me.Pages is used, and therefore Me.Pages is always 0 in that situation.
