    Removing dual boot

I have recently removed Win2k from my machine by deleting the partition it was installed in through setup on the cd-rom, but my machine still wants to dual boot. I can get it to default to '98, but how to I restore it to a single O/S state? If I delete the NT setup information (ntldr, etc.), what would i need to replace it with, if anything? Or is there an easier way to do it? I don't want to re-install and don't have a non-dual boot backup!
