    HijackThis Log

For the past two weeks Norton AV has popped up with the "Downloader" virus every time I turn the computer on and go on line - obvious trojan. I cannot see anything in my HijackThis log that jumps out at me. Is it possible that the latest Microsoft verification tool (WgaLogon.dll) is causing this? If not, any suggestions? Thank you.

We're not HijackThis experts. See the replies by me and by DocWatson in the thread starting at <post:=625,719>post 625,719</post:> for some places to have your log analyzed.

Oh by the way, I was able to solve the problem, or more specifically AmazingTechs.Com solved it. Those guys were great! Highly recommended.

Hopefully you can use this link to the AmazingTechs forum and the specific post. Basically bmarv (a moderator) figured out that I had the Wareout infection and it, along with several Windows/System32/ and Registry items had to be deleted. I, per bmarv's suggestion, downloaded the Fixwareout program and ran it, along with several runs of HijackThis to identify the remnants that had to be deleted. He also suggested several changes to my computer that would help me in the future. Those guys are great!
