    Icon Text Background

    Hi,

Is there a way to make the Icon caption background in Windows 2000 transparent as in Windows XP. I'm sure there is a way, but for the life of me I can't remember it.

    Thanks,

    John

    1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel
    2. Double-click System
    3. Click the Advanced tab
    4. Click Settings in the Performance section
    5. Check the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" checkbox
    6. Click OK

    Re: Icon Text Background

You'll have to get a third-party add-in to make that happen. 2000 does not support icon label transparency out of the box.
