    Auto delete Email after 3 days (2000 / 2007)

    Hi,

I subscribed to various newsletters and would like to use a rule to delete them automatically 3 days after receiving them. The deletion should be permanent and shall take place indepentend of if the email was already read or not. Can anyone advice me? Any help is highly appreciated.

Re: Auto delete Email after 3 days (2000 / 2007)

I would set up a rule to move the 'newsletter' emails to a specific folder, then set up an auto-archive to delete them after three days.

Some info on 2000 here for example: MSKB 239652 : Description of Archive and AutoArchive feature in Outlook 2000 - but be careful to set the folder properties of those you want to keep. You wouldn't be the first to delete everything in your Inbox by mistake <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
