    Views & troubles (Outlook2003)

    When I create a view for a folder and then go to the next folder and apply that same view (which I just created!) it is different...

    In my case I have created and applied in the first folder a view with fields: "Importance Flag Status Attachments From To Subject Received Size".
    In the second folder, after I apply this view, it does NOT show the "To:" field.
    <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

    Also, when I am trying to fix the width of a field (e.g. Size) next time I look it has another width. So even if I try to fix the size, it adjusts (and I want this field to stay fixed and e.g. my subject field to autosize on my screen),

    Last, if I have the view defined, is there a simple way I can apply this to ALL my folders. From my first question it seems that although I can select ans apply a view, it does come out different making them look sort of independent and not connected...

    See this newsgroup thread for a way to apply a view to all folders, in particular the last reply.

    Re: Views & troubles (Outlook2003)

    1. I got from the info so far that "outlook.exe /cleanviews" would clear all my custom views. I did that and this worked. Now all my folders look the same.

    2. I understood that "customize current view" is for the current folder and I have to 'edit by name'

    I'm still playing with this but the "Apply View" seems to be required here.

    What about these fields widths? Now my subject is very wide, while my To: field is small. Again, I'd like to FIX some but allow others to size with my screen...
