    Decimals (2003)

I've created a simple table which has a number field. I can't type decimals into it, no matter what I set the controls to. If I type 2.5, it stays at 2. If I type 2.75 it goes to 3. Microsoft Access is now installed from our server, so I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. Our IT department messed around with the servers the other week, and this is the first database I've tried creating since.

The default field size for a number field is Long Integer. If you want decimals, you must set the field size to Single or to Double.

Changed field size and it worked. Thanks Hans.
