Encode Audio Files?

I want to biuld an Audio Download site of speeches.
How can I encode RM or MP3 files? I have never done this so need some "beginner's" advice.
Thanks,

m.q.

Re: Encode Audio Files?

There is a vast selection of audio software here at Hitsquad. I have used Cool Edit on a limited basis and I know it has the ability to convert between many formats (e.g. wav to .rm and .mp3).

What format are the speeches in now?

MusicMatch Juke Box is a good starting software package for you. The freeware version can convert WAV to MP3. It may also encode real time audio (not sure I as use the registered version).
