QuickTime stole MPG (IE 7)

(Edited by DaveA on 04-Feb-07 08:57. )
I have up dated the QuickTime viewer and now when linking to a MPG file on the internet Quicktime is the default. The default at the local level is WMP.

How do I get it back to WMP?

    Edit
This also happens with MPEG type of files.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Dave

Go to your Control Panel, open the QuickTime icon, select the File Type tab and deselect all the files types you do not want as Default

Today all is well. There has been NO reboots just the normal in and out of programs including IE 7.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
