    msgsrv32 error message

I reformatted the hard drive of a 233 mhz, Cyrix motherboard system - loaded WIN 98. Intermittently I get error messages upon startup - usually involving msgsrv32. I went to the MS knowledge base and learned that the problem was with the PWL file. I deleted the PWL file, restarted, input the new password (none) but I still intermittently get the error message. Any suggestions.

    It sounds mean, sorry.

    Cyrix is to be avoided.

Dealing with the problems one at a time is
a long process. Swap the CPU.

How big of a process is that and where do I get a replacement as cheap as possible?

Check the motherboard as to what it will accept, get a Celeron or AMD at the speed, price range you need and board will accept. There is a range of "slots" for CPUs on the motherboards.

    Sorry, Cyrix is best avoided.
