    Track Changes (2003)

Whenever "Tracked Changes" is on and a document has numbered lists or numbered headings within the document, there is a good chance that a user might insert or delete a paragraph and then the complete document (from that point onward) may show a solid change bar. (apologies for the long sentence)

Has anyone developed a technique to inhibit the identification of changes which were due to automatic renumbering?

I don't know of a way to stop the revision tracking from starting at this point but you can find macros here which correct the problem after it has occurred.
