    update a field (Access 2000)

I have a code for creating a field in the datbase. Can i use this code also to write the number on i ? For example i am creating the field Increment in the table afiliates as follows:
    Set tdf = dbs.TableDefs("affiliates")
    ' create the field increment
    Set fld = tdf.CreateField("Increment", dbSIngle)
    tdf.Fields.Append fld
    tdf.Fields.Refresh
    dbs.Close

How can i update the field Increment so as to be written for example 2000000 ?

Think again - the Increment field will have a different value for each record. So it doesn't make sense to set this field to a single value.

By far the easiest way to populate the field is to enter the values manually.
