    Video Card for Vista

I have a Dell 8200 with a 1.7 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM memory. My video card is a Nvidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400. When I run Dell's Vista Readiness Tool, it says the video card does not meet the minimum standard for Vista. What kind of card should I look for to meet the Vista standard? Thanks.

See Windows Vista: Recommended System Requirements. It depends on the version you want - the Basic edition has lower demands than the versions with the Aero Glass interface.

If you really want to use Vista and don't want to do lot of swearing, get an entirely new computer. It will run on what you have (after upgrading the video card) but I think your experience with it will suffer. Vista seems to do better on dual-core processors.

Also keep in mind that it was designed with, and for, the latest hardware available.
