    MDE - Can't Make It (2003)

The "application" I made, with huge contributions from Hans and Charlotte, has 2 tables, 13 queries, 12 forms, 4 reports,1 macro and 11 modules. I did a "split" and a" compact and Repair". However, when I try to make an MDE, I can't. Access simply tells me so. Is there anything I must do before attempting to do the MDE? Any guidance appreciated. Thanks!

In the first place, in Access 2003 you can only create a .mde database from a .mdb in Access 2002/2003 format (the "native" format). You can't make a .mde database from a .mdb in Access 2000 format.

If your database is already in Access 2002/2003 format, you must make sure that the VBA code can be compiled without errors. You can check this in the Visual Basic Editor, by selecting Debug | Compile <projectname>. As long you get error messages, you must repair them first before trying to create a .mde again.

Found two Button click events that I did not delete after removing the button itself. Made the MDE with no problem. Thanks!
