    removal of tab in txt file

    I have a 100000 line text file that has embed tabs, I wish to remove the tabs but cannot do so with note pad any suggestions.

    Why can't you do it with Notepad? You can copy a tab to the clipboard (select a tab and press Ctrl+C), then past it into the Find what box (press Ctrl+V).

    Hi Richard

    By the time you receive this messge you will have probably have done this. If, however, this is a regular job, DON'T do it in Notepad <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    I am talking from experience and using Hans's method (not wrong) is a really arduous task in Notepad. Look at an alternative text editor like the ones listed in <!post=Notepad++ v 4.0,628762>Notepad++ v 4.0<!/post> , much more friendlier, my <img src=/S/2cents.gif border=0 alt=2cents width=15 height=15> worth
