"All day event" default in appointments (OL2000 sp1, CW Install)

Any way to change the default to "all day event" when creating an appointment by double-clicking the date on the calendar? I know it's not an issue if the New toolbar button is used, but I work at a law firm.

I use the "Day/Week/Month View with auto Preview" for my Calendar. Double clicking on the Date column header brings up an appointment form with "All day event" already selected.
    Will this do?
PS : Note that the default for "Show time as" is set to Free. I could do with a fix to make that default Busy or even Out of Office. The "Free" default has caused all sorts of problems here at our company since people mark themselves at an all day event, don't notice the default of Free and then someone Plans a Meeting - which says they are free because that's what the default is!

I'm sorry, my question was backasswards. I DON'T want the default to be "all day event", as it is when not using the New toolbar button to create an appointment.

I agree about the "show time as" default.

Right click on the date column header and select New Appointment instead of New All Day Event
    Any better?
Don't know how/if the default can be changed.

the deafult can't be changed - click on a day and it's all day, click on a time period (one day view) and it uses that time.

BTW - what does working for a law firm have to do with it? <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

I had a mind to ask that question, too. Then I realised that, based on other loungers' comments on this and other threads, the message is that it seems easier to change built in defaults than law firm users attitudes.
    Right?

    <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15> i was thinking the same thing. And FWIW, it's the same on every forum I visit.
