    Syntax error (Access 2000)

    I receive syntax error in the following statement :

    Dim strSQL As String
    strSQL = "INSERT INTO Customers Customerid VALUES 8000 "
    DoCmd.SetWarnings False
    DoCmd.RunSQL strSQL
    DoCmd.SetWarnings True
    Can you help ?

    Look up the syntax of the INSERT INTO command. It is

    INSERT INTO tablename ( fieldnames ) VALUES ( values )

    You omitted the parentheses ( and )
