    Find OS Version (VB6)

I need to check the installed OS before proceeding with code in VB6. Does anyone know how to do this? I have found a way with the .NET framework, but that is not accessible to this project. Thanks.

See GetVersionEx: Windows Version, Service Pack and Platform Info. The GetWinVer function returns a string representing the Windows version, e.g. "2000". The code also shows how to retrieve service pack level (if available).

Thanks! That site is very helpful. One more step...Does anyone know how to check for Vista's Protection is turned on or off? It seems this is messing up how we store or receive our cookies.

    Hi,
Can you clarify exactly what you mean by "Vista's Protection"?
