    Improv-like Feature (XL2003)

Does Excel have a built-in ability to flip-flop rows and columns for a 16X24 data block? This used to be a piece of cake with the old Lotus Improv program. I've attached a dummy data sheet that shows a before and after shot.

I'm aware of the Copy|Paste Special|Transpose feature but that just works with one column... I need an entire database (albeit a small one) converted. And if Excel does not handle this alone, does anyone know of an add-in that will accomplish the task?

    Thanks,

Paste Special with the Transpose option works on any rectangular area, not just on a single column. The only problem is that you'll have to clean up the borders - they are transposed too, but not in the way you'd want.

Now I know what I did wrong. I tried to transpose it to the same location and Excel said "no". I assumed then, that it would not do what I needed. Just tried it on my big block, pasting it an empty area, and it worked fine. Thanks.
