    macro needed

Macros can be used in FrontPage 2003 but it doesn't have a record macro facility - otherwise I'd be having a go. I've looked at Windows macro record tools and tried one with only partial success in what I want to do.

I need a macro to insert the same nine lines of PHP before the DOCTYPE declaration in 120+ files with the extension htm and to rename and save those files with the extension php. As the HTM files are in several sub folders I assume that it will be necessary to have the option to select a sub folder before the macro runs. Can anyone help with this please?

It might be easier to use another tool than to write a big macro for a one-time use. Perhaps one of the editors mentioned in this thread: HTML editor for multiple files.

Thank you for pointing me to a more practical solution.
