Message text slow to display (Outlook 2003)

I am wondering whether anyone has a problem with a very slow display of text when typing an email message? I have recently added a new firewall and anti-virus program and am wondering whether it may be interfering with the speed of display when text is being typed?

I look forward to a response.

    Regards,

    Jocelyn

Have you recently upgraded to IE7? IE7 includes something called ClearType, which changes the way text is rendered, both in the browser and within Outlook/Outlook Express (when viewing or editing HTML emails). I've noticed some delay with text appearing with ClearType enabled, so this may be your problem. You can turn it off in Internet Options - more information.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for that help. I have turned it off and all seems to be working much better now.

    Much appreciated.
