    MouseMove ? (Excel 2002/2003)

    Hi

I am using this code which works fine, but instead closing the message box manually would it be possible to get the message box to close when moving the mouse off the label?

    Many Thanks

    Braddy

    Private Sub Label1_MouseMove( _
ByVal Button As Integer, ByVal Shift As Integer, _
ByVal X As Single, ByVal Y As Single)
    Msgbox("Ring Norm")
    End Sub

A message box is meant to be interactive: the user *must* click it to close it. So a message box is not the ideal tool for this.

The attached workbook demonstrates an approach suggested by Steve (sdckapr) in <post:=298,063>post 298,063</post:>. There is a hidden second label that is made visible when the mouse pointer is over the first label.

To change the tooltip label, display the Control Toolbox toolbar and turn on design mode (first button on the Control Toolbox), then select the label and click Properties on the Control Toolbox.

The code is in the worksheet module.
