    Hyperlink (2003)

    Hi,

I have a precedent Document List which I would like to hyperlink to open a copy of the relevant precedent.

However, I am not currently on site and would like to know if there is any way that I can hyperlink using a relevant string
    eg
on my laptop the precedent path is crecedents
on the file system the precedent path is G:datafilessharedprecedents (or some such thing)

does anyone know of any way I can do this so that I can just hyperlink to "Precedents" and have it look for a relative path.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Thanks for any assistance

    Re: Hyperlink (2003)

You can set the Hyperlink Base property of the document (in File | Properties) to the precedent path on your PC. All hyperlinks you add after that will be relative to this path, i.e. hyperlinks to files in that folder will not contain a path.
The only thing you need to change later is the Hyperlink Base property. If you set it to the network path, the hyperlinks will work again.
