Track changes in a spreadsheet macro (Excel 2003)

    Hi

Is it possible to track changes to a spreadsheet in a macro, I see that if I turn on changes it disables macro's.

    Regards

    Mike

Tracking changes in an Excel workbook requires that the workbook is shared. This is a dangerous feature that will sooner or later lead to corruption of the workbook. For this reason, I avoid sharing workbooks, and hence tracking changes.

If you have a backup copy of the workbook, you can compare the original and current versions. There are various methods for comparing the contents of worksheets, see for example Comparing Workbooks. This doesn't provide any information, however, about who applied the changes and when.
