    Favorites List (6.0 / Sp2 and 7.0)

I have IE 6.0 / SP2 at work and I use IE 7.0 at home. Windows XP in both locations.
My problem is that with IE 6.0 at work when I display my favorites it shows first a list of the most recently used items with a double-arrow at the bottom allowing me to browse through the entire list of favorites.
With my IE 7.0 at home it always shows all favorites, causing me to scroll through a lot of favorites to find the one I want.
I would like to turn on the "most recently used" feature for my IE favorites at home but can't seem to find the where this setting is.

    Can anyone help me?

I think you are talking about the "History" and NOT Favorites.
Is this the drop down list you get when when you click the arrow to the right of the address pane?

If so, I do NOT think you can change the sorting of this.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I don't think you can shpw the most recently used ones at the top. But you can rearrange your favorites the way you want - simply drag-and-drop. So you can place the ones you use most at the top.

Try going to Internet Options | Advanced and check the "Enable personalized favorites menu" box.

A problem I'm finding with the favorites list in IE6 is that it doesn't display any customised shortcut icons that are downloaded when you add a website to the list. Any ideas anyone?

There are free utilities that download custom icons for favorites and ensure they won't disappear of you clear your browser cache. For example: FavOrg or FavIconizer.
