    Recurring Windows Update icon (SP2)

In my system tray, I keep getting the icon showing that a Windows update is available, specifically a Security Update (KB923723). I have, in fact, downloaded it, and the installation process indicated a success. Also, a search shows the update in System 32CatRoot. Nevertheless, the icon has appeared for the past 5 days.

    Suggestions?

Let it install as there may have been a update to that KB.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Actually, I've did that prior to the post. The icon still shows up.

    - Make sure you downloaded and installed the appropriate version of the update from Microsoft Security Bulletin MS07-005

    - Use Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer v.2.0 or 2.0.1 to determine whether this update is installed properly.

    - If both previous steps were accomplished and you still have new update notification, go to Windowsupdate website, choose "Custom" option, click on + sign on the left side of the update and check "Do not show this update again" checkbox.

Ended up checking "do not show this update again." I should have remembered that option since I've used it before. Thanks.
