    Button Text Alignment

I'm afraid my neanderthHTML is somewhat behind the times. Is it possible to create a series of web buttons with a consistent left indent for the text, rather than centred? Or do I need to do some kind of image map or something? This is for a right margin menu with mouseover highlight. I'd prefer the button look, but if too hard, could I just use a table (column) with mouseover effects on a cell?

How would you like a CSS styled list (<ul> and[*]) style. You can have a background image, a rollover, aligned text. If yes, I'll set up a mock up for you...offer always there <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Try this for starters. We can add images and rollovers as you look it through.

I got distracted yesterday and ended up at this page. Not sure it's right for what you want, but you could take a peek at the style rules it generates and adapt them to your buttons. I think it's <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>.

    Thanks Jefferson - this is great! So easy and, yes, <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
I'd say it deserves a link in Software Wants & Finds.

    Re: Button Text Alignment

I knew I had it somewhere. Here is a link of a thread I created for this kind of problem last year. Here is a primary navbar using li tags as well if you don't want the above:

Thanks Jezza. I have managed to create something that looks good (IMO) with Tab Creator, but I'll certainly try to learn something from your code.
