As an extra-curricular project I am building a music database that lists songs, players, vocal capacity and instruments performed per song.

I'm having difficulty constructing the appropriate forms.
Ideally, It should:

List each song (with new ones to be entered)
Show each player performing in the song-(I'm thinking Option Groups here)
Show the instrument of each player
indicate if they are singing the lead.
indicate if they can do back-up vocals.
indicate which of 3 ranges (Hi-Mid-Low) they will be singing

Many of the players can play multiple instruments (but not on 1 song
There can be more than 1 lead vocal per song.

This will be my first NORMALIZED database, so getting this form done the correct way will help me tremendously in the future.

Nevermind...That was a lot easier than it seemed, actually.
In my obsession with 'keeping it small, I forgot functionality.

I hope that you realized that you need a Song table, a Performer table, and an Instruments table. There would be a one-to-many relationship between the Song table and the Performer table, and a one-to-many relationship between the Performer table and the Instruments table. That is, if you want a normalized database.
