    Security? (IE 6)

Where in the heck did this come from?

It's started popping up in the last couple days. I've run a spyware scan and found nothing. I checked my internet settings, and

    com.com
    bnet.com
    zdnet.com

Are listed in the trusted (Always Allow) sites... Is this *always* going to pop up when you access "always trusted" sites?

    Regards,

    Chuck,
Have you found it necessary to have any of these sites included in your Trusted Zone?
    If not, remove them.

    Bob:

I was trying to download a white paper from a ZDNet site, and couldn't... In going to their support site, I found the instructions to add same to the trusted sites...

This does seem to have been about the same time....

But if this/these are "trusted" then whey would I get a message each time they are accessed?

You can probably suppress the warning (if you really want to) by going to Tools | Internet Options.., Advanced tab, and clearing the check box labeled "Warn if changing between secure and insecure mode".

You are getting the message because a site ...cnet.com that is not trusted is trying to access a trusted site. If you were to access the trusted site directly there would be no problem. This is to prevent a bad guy from just arbitrarily trying domains to do something untoward on your PC.

    Joe/Hans:

OK, thanks... It's just kinda strange that a vendor would send you to a site that contradicts their own site's ratings...

    Oh well.
