    Vista Compatible Programs

Just wondering if ADAWARE SE PERSONAL, Spybot and Spyware Blaster are compatible with Windows Vista? There sites do not include Vista as an operating system.

    Re: Vista Compatible Programs

There is a list HERE from Microsoft of applications that are now Vista certified. I'm sure more will follow but if they aren't yet on the list, they are sure to working on updates that will make them OK fro Vista.

Note also that just because something does not appear on that list, does not necessarily mean it won't work with Vista. For example, Norton Internet Security 2007 is not on the list, that I can see, but they have a Vista version available.

    Re: Vista Compatible Programs

I'm in the process of getting ready for installing Vista Ultimate and Office 2007. I have been checking all of my current applications that I would like to install in the Vista environment.

My research shows that the current version of Ad-Aware SE Personal is not compatible. They are working on a new product called Ad-Aware 2007 that will be Vista compatible. No announced date for the release... but indicating that it might be soon. There is however, a beta version that can be tested. I'm going to wait for the final release.

For Spybot Search & Destroy, the current version, 1.4 is not compatible. They have a 1.5 beta version that is supposed to be compatible.

    Nothing on Spyware Blaster.

    Bob,
Yes, I'm involved in the Beta test of Adaware 2007 now. It seems "well along" at this point, so I would expect release will be very soon.
