Min % Increment (Excel 2003)

    Hi Excel Experts,

I am back after a long time. I need to fine tune an existing formula.

    =IF(AC2<75.4717%,(80%-AC2)/AC2,6%)

The fomula ensure that a if 6% increment is less than 80% then 80% or 6% whichever is higher. I need to use that same logic and give 5% increment or 80% whichever is higher.

    Can someone help me.

    Regards
    Baiju

For the same logic, you would use:

=IF(AC2<(80%/(1+5%)),(80%-AC2)/AC2,5%)

You can change the formula to

    =IF(AC2<80%/(100%+6%),(80%-AC2)/AC2,6%)

This makes it easy to modify the formula for 5%:

    =IF(AC2<80%/(100%+5%),(80%-AC2)/AC2,5%)
