    Crashes on any DB (2003)

I have a client with Access 2003-sp2, running on a Windows 2003 server with Citrix. When he tries to open a database, Access closes with "access has encountered an error and had to close" The event log shows event ID 1000 from source Office 11, msaccess.exe, 11.0.6566.0, stamp 42cdb33e, fault address 0244613c. As a test case, we have been using the sample Northwind DB that comes with Access. He can open the DB but when he goes to open a form, it crashes. He has another server with the same setup and it runs fine. The problem system was working yesterday. They installed a citrix rollup last night. We have tried backing out the citirx rollup, uninstalling/reinstalling office, etc. but nothing is working. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    -Torry

Does Help | Detect and Repair from within Access make a change?

We didn't go that route, but we did uninstall/reinstall and also ran a repair from add/remove programs. Would D&R do anything different?

Probably not, but why not try it?

Nope, didn't help. Sounds like maybe something is messed up in the registry. Any other ideas?

When you uninstalled Office 2003, did you uninstall it completely? Some files may have been left behind.
You might try the Office Removal Wizard, it's part of the Office 2003 Editions Resource Kit. See [url=http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ork2003/HA011401771033.aspx]here[/urel].
