    Excel Charts 2007/2003 (Excel 2007/12.0.4518.1014)

Having upgraded to office 2007, it would now appear that I am unable to save a workbook with charts for a user to open with Excel 2003, even thou I select save as Excel 97/2003 format.

When the Excel 2003 user opens the file, the data is OK, but the charts are unreadable.

Is there anything I can do? or should I go back and load office 2003.

    Thanks

    I've had similar problems.
When I load an Excel2003 file into Excel2007 (same version as yours), I get a dogs dinner with my 2003 charts.
They look great in 2003 and really crap in 2007.
It's the new improved graphics engine in 2007 that is doing it.

My solution was to keep using 2003.
So now I use different Excel versions on different PCs to keep consistent.
The new graphic capabilities of 2007 are great (as long as you stay in 2007).

I thought the point of Xl2007 was that it was NOT compatible with the older versions. The wanted to improve XL2007 and that required not being completely compatible.
