envelopes and labels (word 2003 sp2)

I open envelopes and labels in word 2003. I type the address for an envelope and before I print it, I highlight each line and copy the info. After printing, I open envelopes and labels again and click control v to paste the info again into the address box. My problem is that now when I try to paste the info, nothing happens. The address box is just blank. This only happens when I am in the envelopes and labels screen. Did something change in word that doesn't allow the pasting to happen?

Perhaps there's an add-in that prevents you from pasting into the address box. Try out the steps in Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word,197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word<!/post>.

Could this have something to do with the paragraph indentation? What happens if you Paste Special as text only?

Might I suggest a slightly different approach as a work-around:

    1. <LI>Type the address into a document,
      <LI>Select the complete address,
      <LI>Open Envelopes and Labels, and
      <LI>Print
It should work as you have attempted to use it.
