    Verizon & AOL

    Hello -

I don't know which Board is appropriate for this question....

I just switched over to Verizon Broadband, yet AOL still kicked me off. I, naively?, thought that this wouldn't happen with Broadband.

Is being kicked off a fact of AOL life? (I haven't yet told AOL I won't be subscribing...but I connected to AOL via Internet Explorer, not through AOL. )

    Thanks for any insights,
    Acer

Please define "kicked off", as to what happens and what error messages you get!

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Click Start | Run, type MSCONFIG and hit Enter.
System Configuration Utility window pops up.
Click Startup tab and uncheck all AOL-related items.
When you restart your computer, you will get a message that MSCONFIG changed your Startup programs. Do not forget to check "Do not show this message again" checkbox!

P.S.: It is a software, NOT a hardware problem.
