    Excel Spreadsheet Tab (2003)

    I have created a database that populates data into an excel template then e-mails the file to various recipients. This template has multiple tabs and the tab the data is written to is the active tab that the recipient sees when they open the spreadsheet. However, I'd like for the recipient to see a different tab when they open the spreadsheet. It seems simple to change this, but I'm at a loss :-(

    One option is to put code in the ThisWorkbook module of the Excel workbook that activates the sheet:

    Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Worksheets("SpecificSheet").Select
    End Sub

    However, this will only work if users enable macros.

    Another option is to select the sheet you want to display, then save the workbook before e-mailing it. If you already use Automation to populate the other worksheet, it can easily be added to the existing code, otherwise you'd have to create Automation code. Post back if you need help with this.

    I added the code to the template and it works great! There were already macros that the user had to enable so this was the perfect solution. Thanks for the help :-)
