first address failure (vista - windows mail)

Simple problem. The first address to which I send any e-mail fails of delivery; so I have been making sure MY address is first on the list. It's a work-around... that I would like to make unnecessary. HOW do I fix this ? WHY is it happening ?

What error messages are you getting, stating that you have a failure?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Ya made me look. It is a McAfee error message (red M, upper left hand corner of the window...) - e-mail connection lost - "one or more e-mails cannot be sent."

I am now asking friends to reply if they GOT the test e-mail. The error message implies that it is only the first addressee who gets dumped, but I thought I'd better try to verify that.
