    Negative Percentages (Excel 2003)

How do you bracket negative percentages in a cell when the percentage is the result of a calculated formula? In other words, if a cell has a formula in it and the result of the formula is a negative percentage, how do you get the spreadsheet to default to using brackets for the percentage, rather than a minus sign? With regular numbers, this is easily done, but not with percentages.

    Hi There

Would a custom format like this do the job (or similar) for you

    0.00%;<!t>[red]<!/t>-(0.00%)
