    Sheet tabs (2007)

    1. How do you hide sheet tabs?

    2. Is it possible in 2007 to include a macro which will automatically open when you run a workbook? I have used one in earlier versions which opens full screen - but I cannot rememberhow to do it!

    1) Home | Format | Hide & Unhide | Hide Sheet/Unhide Sheet.

    2) Create a procedure named Workbook_Open in the ThisWorkbook module. I assume you have to use a .xls or .xlsm file for this.

    1. What I meant is how to hide the tabs at the bottom of the screen numbered Sheet1, Sheet2, etc., until we give them some more intelligent name. Perhaps it can't be done in 2007.

    2. Of course. Thanks.

I don't have Office 2007, but isn't it under Office Button | Excel Options | Advanced | Display Options?

    Select Tools | Options...
    Activate the View tab.
Clear the 'Sheet Tabs' check box.
    Click OK.

    Thanks Hans.

    I know it had to be simple, but I had a "senior" moment. <img src=/S/gramps.gif border=0 alt=gramps width=20 height=20>
