    Sandbox Mode (Windows XP)

I have recently created a new database. When I try to create a combo box on a form the wizard does not pop up. The help menu said that access is running in sandbox mode. I was hoping that someone could tell me how to either turn off sandbox mode or tell me how to set it up so the wizards will work while in sandbox mode. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great day.

    Re: Sandbox Mode (Windows XP)

MSKB article How to configure Jet 4.0 to prevent unsafe functions from running in Access 2000 and Access 2002 explains how to turn sandbox mode on and off.

However, if you have the latest version of the Microsoft Jet Engine, wizards should run OK even if sandbox mode is on. This version is included in Windows XP SP2. See How to obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine if you don't have SP2.
