    Re: Replacing lable character (Excel 2003)

    Are you trying to do this manually, or using VBA code?

    Replacing lable character (Excel 2003)

    I converted some complicated formulas into text by editing into '=SUMPRODUCT.... expecting to come in later and replace '= with just = to convert them back. Having trouble doing this. Excel says "made 4 replacements" but those are of the apostrophes around tab names, not the leading one. I tried using the tilde, but that doesn't seem to help. How should I do this? Thanks.

    Trying to do it via Ctrl-H Find and Replace window as FIND '= and replace with =, also trying the Flexible Find and Replace addin, that has some special character tabs, but they all look at that first ' as a label indicator.

    Try this in VBA:

    ActiveCell.Formula = ActiveCell.Formula

    (ActiveCell can be replaced by any reference to a Range)

    Re: Replacing lable character (Excel 2003)

    I tried copying that into a SUB but it didn't seem to work, so I manually fixed the issue and changed the prefix to a letter, so the Find and Replace now works, replacing ZZZ= with =. THanks.
